Funny Story | Emily Henry

And on the lighter side..Funny Story is a very light read but nicely executed. It's a beach read. To the surprise of absolutely no one who reads the book, it's bound for Netflix, along with another Emily Henry title, Happy People. Which was great to hear since I kept saying to myself as I was reading, "wow, this feels like a Netflix movie." Daphne is engaged to Peter who's best friend Petra is involved with Miles. Peter calls off the engagement at the last moment (well, not quite the last moment, but close) to marry--you saw this one coming--Petra. Daphne and Miles become roommates of convenience and the rest is plot. I'd totally read more Emily Henry for a nice palate cleanser. Now that Elin Hilderbrand isn't writing any more Nantucket books, these will fill that slot nicely!
