Slow Horses | Mick Herron

I know so many people who started reading this series after watching the Apple TV series. So my impulse isn't exactly original. BUT, I can tell you that the book is fantastic and having seen the TV series doesn't spoil it even the teeniest bit. TV has to accomplish a lot relying on the visuals, and the beauty of the book is that you get all the deep backstory for the many interesting Slow Horses characters. You get into their minds and learn some things that were hinted at, alluded to, and so on, in the show. I'm planning to keep reading the series. There's not a lot to say other than that they're sooooo good and if you like the show, you'll love the books.
