Swan Song | Elin Hilderbrand

That's all she wrote, folks. Elin Hilderbrand has said this is her last book in Nantucket. I've read a lot of them, although probably not all, and they're a reliable, fun read. But I have to say that these days I'm much less interested in the antics of rich folks behaving badly. There's not a lot to say about this since it's pretty much the same deal as her other books. Lots of name-checking brands and restaurants, hunky contractors and "staff," mysterious businesses, naughty trysts, spectacularly beautiful and expensive homes. If you're someone who needs closure, you'll get it in this one (no spoiler here), plus you'll get a whole bunch of party theme ideas that you can (maybe) scale down to fit your budget. I also learned more about Amalfi lemons. Grab a summery cocktail or mocktail, pull out that chaise lounge and have a nice summer read.
