The Final Act of Juliette Willoughby | Ellery Lloyd
High-stakes art, old aristocratic money, new tech money, romance, revenge. jealousy This mystery by Ellery Lloyd (how many names have two sets of double 'll'?) is a most satisfying mystery. It's not that you don't get some good breadcrumbs along the way to the end, but there are some great twists and turns that keep you guessing. I pulled up this book from my "for later" list and I'm glad I did.
Told over three different timelines, the main characters are all fellow students at Cambridge. Some have oodles of money, some just want others to think they do, and still others are just smart young things with an interest in art. Caroline and Patrick are at the center of the story and the action really kicks off at the 21st birthday bash for their friend Harry Willoughby at his country pile, a home that is literally in the process of becoming a pile of stones.
The story has layers that Lloyd peels back in a tantalizing way. Can't say too much because what kind of mystery would that leave you?
