The Vacationers | Emma Straub

I just finished this and really liked it. I plan to read more of Emma's book. I saw her at our local Book Festival a couple of years ago and thought she seemed like a great person to meet up for coffee. And she was wearing what appeared to be pajama pants, which was oh-so-Brooklyn. Everyone in this story has something going on, and the mothers among us will nod knowingly at a few passages about the role that mothers play in our families. In the end, it's a sweet story that hits all the right notes about the ups and downs of being human.
